What if colour wasn't a finish, but a feature?

What if your fabric could have vibrant, long-lasting colour without conventional dyeing processes?

Imagine a backpack that keeps its colour after years of outdoor adventures. A travel bag exposed to sunlight, rain and intensive use. Sports equipment that needs to look as good as it performs, season after season.

For decades, the textile industry has relied on conventional dyeing processes that often require large amounts of water, energy and chemicals. And while these methods can deliver beautiful colours, repeated exposure to sunlight and demanding conditions can cause fabrics to fade over time.

But what if we could rethink the way fabrics get their colour?
What if colour came from within? Meet Rivercyclon® Outdoor, Travel & Sports Fabrics.
Instead of dyeing the fabric after production, Rivercyclon® takes a fundamentally different approach.

Its colours are created through solution dyeing, also known as dope dyeing.

The secret lies in adding colour pigments directly to the molten polypropylene (PP) before the yarn is produced. This means the colour becomes an integral part of the fibre itself, rather than being applied afterwards.
And because the colour is already built into the yarn, there is no need for a conventional water-intensive fabric dyeing process.

Not just colour applied to a fabric. Colour designed into it.

What if brilliant colours didn't come at the expense of precious resources?
Traditional textile dyeing can consume significant amounts of water and energy, while generating wastewater that requires treatment.

Rivercyclon® takes another route.

By introducing colour at the very beginning of the production process, solution dyeing eliminates the need for conventional fabric dyeing and significantly reduces water consumption associated with colouring the material.
Fewer processing steps. Less water waste. More efficient use of resources.
And there's more.

Rivercyclon® is built around a mono-material polypropylene concept, named The Circular Fabrics Platform, designed to make the fabric fully recyclable.

Because responsible material innovation isn't only about reducing the impact of production. It's also about considering what happens to a product at the end of its useful life.

What if colour could be made to last?
For outdoor, travel and sports brands, appearance matters. But so does durability.
Fading colours can make a product look worn long before it has reached the end of its functional life.

By incorporating pigments directly into the fibre, Rivercyclon® offers excellent colour consistency and resistance to fading, including from exposure to sunlight.

Think backpacks, travel luggage, sports bags and outdoor equipment. Products designed to maintain their appearance while facing demanding conditions.

Vibrant colours. Long-lasting performance. Without conventional fabric dyeing.

What if this changed the way we colour technical fabrics?
Innovation doesn't always mean developing a new dye, adding another treatment or introducing an extra production step.
Sometimes, the biggest breakthrough comes from changing the moment we add colour in the first place.

At Rivertex®, we believe the future of technical fabrics starts by challenging the way things have always been done.
Rivercyclon® is our answer. Make the Switch.
