Rivertex has had the honor of participating in ISPO Textrends 2025, and our Rivercyclon® has been included in the ‘Top 10 Soft Equipment’ category!

ISPO Textrends showcases the latest innovations for the sports and outdoor section, determined by an international jury-vote. By this listing, we gain exclusive insights into the trends that are bound to hit the market for consumers around Fall/Winter 2027/28, but that first have to pass the bar for designers and manufacturers. We are happy to report that our fully recyclable Rivercyclon® has been included in the Top 10 materials for ‘Soft Equipment’.

Rivercyclon® is our sustainable alternative to PVC-coated fabrics and is entirely circular in design. By using clean production methods that cause CO2 emissions to be cut by up to 80%, and by making the fabric 100% recyclable, we are able to help designers reach their climate goals faster. Rivercyclon® is waterproof & -repellent, weldable, lightweight, UV resistant, tearproof, anti-bacterial and has high abrasion resistance, making it perfect for bags, tents, and other outdoor equipment. Moreover, the fabric is comparable, and in some cases lower, in cost to market standards.

This year’s listing of fabrics was determined under strict requirements, especially regarding the transparency and traceability of sustainability claims from participants. There was an emphasis on the need for evidence to support claims of sustainable production and practices this season, moving even beyond mere certifications. The innovations presented this year highlighted the use of streamlined constructions and hybrid blends, presenting materials designed around recyclable and recycled materials to achieve concrete proof of sustainability. To the jury, as to Rivertex, authenticity and accountability were key factors in securing our place as a trusted supplier in the textile industry. We are proud of Rivercyclon’s® inclusion in the top 10 for ‘Soft Equipment’.
